History: Son of a dynast, his childhood was peaceful but busy one. He enjoyed the various wonders Chon'sin had to offer, sword play included. In his adolescent years, Kouta showed great promise to one day take his fathers place as a dynast, however still retained his youthful optimism and innocence. Rules were strict and lessons were tight but Koutas diligence served him well until one day. His father suddenly deemed him unfit to take his place and made his younger brother heir instead. Kouta shattered, investigated his fathers sudden change of heart only to find why he has been denied as an heir. His younger brother was about to wed a very rich mans daughter. This man commented about Koutas lack of a bride, deeming him a dishonor and his studies pointless as his sword play lacks a dynasts skill. Kouta enraged, headed for the rich mans house sword in hand and vengeance at heart only to find his younger brother guarding his farther in law. Kouta explained while his younger brothers bride begged for her fathers protection. Deeply in love, Koutas younger brothers choice was clear. Above Kouta in swordplay, he disarmed him after a violent and bloody drawn out fight. He spared his older brother wishing for them to remain at peace with each other. Koutas father then enters and learns of Koutas investigations and attempt at murder of his heirs brides father. The old dynast banished Kouta and if he ever returns he is to be executed. His mother without intent to help the situation, kouta spent the last of his adolescent years nearly starving and dishonored beyond recognition. He spent the last of his once bountiful riches, now reduced to what he carried at the time of exile, for a boat to Yllisse. There became a mercenary, furthering his swordplay. Kouta decided to change his name to better suit those around him to kody. Named after a feroxi man just acrossed the border who allowed him to sleep in his barn and enjoy nightly dinner, in return for chores and to keep watch over his grandson.
Now a man, Kody joins the shepherds as its newest member in hopes of financial stability and the skill to return home to fight for what was taken from him.
